DAY HIRE: Pick up after 12pm the day before and drop off before 12pm the day after.
WEEKEND HIRE: Pick up after 12pm Friday and return before 12pm Monday.
BOOKINGS: Chains can be pre-booked (conditions apply).
VEHICLE COMPATIBILITY: Confirm that the vehicle manufacturer permits the use of snow chains in accordance with the owner’s manual. Customers are responsible for checking clearances and fitment suitability for their vehicle.
BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please read carefully
1. RESPONSIBILITY FOR EQUIPMENT
The customer accepts full responsibility for the care and safe use of all rental equipment supplied under the booking while it is in their possession.
2. LOSS OR DAMAGE
The customer agrees to return all rental equipment in clean and reasonable condition, allowing for normal wear and tear only. The customer is responsible for any loss, theft, damage or destruction of the rental equipment while it is in their possession.
3. REPLACEMENT COSTS The customer agrees to pay the full replacement value (RRP) of any equipment that is lost, stolen, not returned, or damaged beyond repair. Replacement pricing will be based on the current recommended retail price listed on our website at the time the replacement charge is processed.
4. LATE RETURNS
All rental equipment must be returned by 12:00 pm on the agreed return date listed on the booking. Equipment returned after 12:00 pm will incur an additional rental charge of $30 per day (or part thereof) until the equipment is returned.
5. UNRETURNED EQUIPMENT
Rental equipment not returned within 7 days of the agreed return date will be considered lost or unreturned equipment.
6. PAYMENT AUTHORISATION
By proceeding with the booking, the customer authorises the ski shop to charge the credit/debit card provided for:
- overdue rental charges;
- repair costs for damaged equipment beyond reasonable wear and tear;
- cleaning fees where equipment is returned excessively dirty; and/or
- the full replacement value (RRP) of equipment deemed lost, stolen or not returned.
7. RETURNED EQUIPMENT AFTER REPLACEMENT CHARGE
If equipment charged as lost or unreturned is subsequently returned in acceptable condition, the ski shop may, at its discretion, refund part of the replacement charge less any overdue rental fees, repair costs, cleaning fees or other applicable charges.
8. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
The customer acknowledges that the use, fitting and operation of snow chains involves inherent risks, including damage to tyres, wheels, suspension components, guards, driveline components and other vehicle parts, as well as the risk of accident, injury or property damage. The customer voluntarily assumes all such risks associated with the fitting and use of the hired snow chains.
9. RELEASE AND INDEMNITY
To the extent permitted by law, the customer releases and indemnifies the ski shop, its owners, employees and agents from any claim, liability, loss or damage arising from the supply, recommendation, fitting assistance, installation, adjustment or use of the hired snow chains, including any damage caused to the vehicle or its components.
10. SNOW CHAIN INSTRUCTIONS
The customer confirms that instructions regarding the correct fitting, removal and safe use of the snow chains have been provided and that they understand how to correctly fit and operate the chains before use.
11. VEHICLE COMPATIBILITY AND CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY
Snow chains are fitted and used entirely at the customer’s own risk. The customer confirms that:
- the vehicle, tyre size and information provided are accurate;
- they have confirmed that the vehicle manufacturer permits the use of snow chains in accordance with the owner’s manual;
- they are responsible for checking clearances and fitment suitability for their vehicle; and
- the ski shop does not guarantee compatibility with all vehicles, wheel sizes, suspension configurations or manufacturer chain clearance requirements.
12. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS & CONDITIONS
By making a booking, providing payment details, collecting rental equipment and/or using the hired snow chains, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.
