Snowboarding originated in the United States in the 1960s and 1970s. The first snowboard was created by Sherman Poppen in 1965, who fastened two skis together and added a rope to create a rudimentary snowboard. In 1977, Jake Burton Carpenter founded Burton Snowboards, which helped to popularize the sport and develop modern snowboarding equipment. By the 1980s, snowboarding had become a popular alternative to skiing, and was officially recognized as an Olympic sport in 1998. Snowboarding initially faced resistance from ski resorts, which viewed snowboarders as reckless and potentially dangerous to other skiers. However, as the sport grew in popularity, most resorts began to welcome snowboarders and create designated terrain parks and halfpipes for them to ride. Today, snowboarding is a popular winter sport enjoyed by millions of people around the world. It has evolved into many different styles and disciplines, including freestyle, halfpipe, big air, and backcountry. We stock a huge range of snowboards, boots, bindings, and accessories to accommodate snowboarders of varying abilities and riding styles. Description

Lightweight, mid-flexing freestyle performance and the precise feel of micro-adjustable fit for riding features across the mountain. Those who appreciate the balance of medium-flex tweakability and fluid flex should step into the men's Burton Swath BOA Snowboard Boots. Ultraweave shell material eliminates bulky seams, creating a lightweight, durable, and seamless shell. While an articulated cuff opens up the range of motion for a freestyle feel with solid heel hold. Dual-Zone BOA Fit System puts effortless forefoot and upper boot adjustment at your fingertips. Shock absorption is equally advanced, with ReBounce bringing cushioning closer to your foot. Heat-moldable liners and reflective heat tech in the boot crank up the warmth and comfort, so you can ride longer.

Specifications

• GripLITE backstay snugs up the fit between the boot and hi-back for direct energy transfer and reduced rider fatigue; Ultraweave shell material provides lasting and powerful support with a rugged, water-resistant, and flexible structure
• 1:1 medium flex PowerUp tongue creates a snug fit between boot and tongue, eliminating the need to readjust while you ride; Focus cuff boosts heel hold by hugging the ankle, riding slightly higher for increased response; Articulating cuff allows the upper and lower zones of the boot to flex independently creating fluid forward motion and maximum heel hold with minimal shell distortion
• Total Comfort Construction provides an instantly broken-in feel right out of the box, eliminating the break-in period; Snow-proof internal gusset completely seals the lower zone of the boot, keeping your feet warm and dry
• Dual-Zone BOA® Fit System with Coiler™ technology features two distinct lace zones that can be independently adjusted with the twist of a dial for a custom fit in both the upper and lower portions of the boot

• Imprint 3 heat-moldable liner has a hook-and-loop closure system with an inner lace lock for a snug fit and lightweight power panels for added response
• DynoBITE outsole features strategically placed rubber patches for extra traction and durability at the forefoot and heel while also providing lightweight cushioning; EST® optimized midsole lowers your center of gravity and improves board feel without sacrificing comfort
• Shrinkage footbed reduction technology reduces the boot's overall footprint, minimizing toe drag
• 1-Year Warranty
